The F1 Slatmill started with one simple frustration: every dog treadmill on the market was either too loud, too flimsy, or too clinical for the dogs that actually needed real conditioning. So we built our own.
It began the way most good equipment does, out of necessity. A working dog needed consistent conditioning regardless of weather, daylight, or how busy life got. The treadmills on the market at the time were either underbuilt plastic units that rattled apart within months, or expensive clinical machines designed more for a vet's office than a backyard or a training facility.
So the first F1 was built by hand, slat by slat, in a small workshop, with one goal: a treadmill that a dog could trust the moment it stepped on, and that would hold up to daily use for years rather than months. Once other handlers and trainers saw it in action, it stopped being a one off project and started being a product.
Every decision on the F1 traces back to one question: would this hold up for a working dog, not a showroom dog. That is why the belt is kiln dried hardwood instead of rubber, why the bearings are sealed and near silent instead of a noisy motor, and why the frame carries an adjustable incline and decline rather than a single fixed angle.
It is also why we added manual brakes and a built in speedometer as standard, not as an upgrade. A handler training a dog for real performance needs to control intensity and see real numbers, not guess. We treat those as the baseline, not the extra.
Each F1 Slatmill is built from kiln dried hardwood slats, sanded smooth and sealed to handle daily wear without splintering or warping. The frame is powder coated steel, built to carry the weight class it is rated for with margin to spare. Every mill is assembled and function tested by hand before it ships, brakes checked, incline range tested, speedometer calibrated.
We are a small operation by design. That means slower production runs, but it also means every mill that leaves our workshop has actually been looked at and tested by a real person, not pulled off an automated line. That is the trade off we choose, and it is why we can back every unit with an 18 month warranty without blinking.
F1 Slatmill is run by a small team that cares more about getting the build right than scaling fast. We answer our own messages, build our own mills, and stand behind every unit personally. If you message us on WhatsApp or through the contact form, you are talking to someone who actually knows how the product is made, not a support script.
We choose hardwood and steel over plastic and shortcuts, every time, even when it costs more to build.
Every spec, from entry height to belt flex, is chosen for canine movement first, never adapted from human equipment.
No call centers, no scripts. You talk to the people who actually build and stand behind the mill.
Four sizes, built the same way every time. Manual brakes, adjustable incline and decline, a built in speedometer, and an 18 month warranty on every single mill.
